WRAP auditor training program certified by IRCA![]() Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production is pleased to announce that its three-day Social Systems Foundation & Internal Auditor training course (IRCA A17331 & A17332) has been certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) in London, England. An application has also been made to IRCA for the certification of the following courses: Social Systems conversion course and Social Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor course. Since 1984, IRCA has certified over 26,000 auditors in 105 countries and is recognized as the leading certification body for audit and inspection services. Steve Jesseph, Vice Chairman and President of WRAP said: “We are very pleased to receive this designation. This certification provides assurance to global and local inspection companies, retail firms and brands to know that the training they receive is of the highest quality and meets the most rigorous professional standards. One of our goals is to ensure the highest quality and uniform consistency in all that we do. This certification signifies we are moving in the right direction.” The IRCA certification process was led by Stuart Webster, WRAP Director of Training. “We really wanted to make sure that all the auditors who conduct WRAP audits around the world received only the best training possible, and that our training materials and processes were verified by a highly credible, external body of experts,” said Webster. He added, “For retailers and brands that want to continue their own internal audit programs, in conjunction with external certification programs like WRAP, we believe there is no better internal auditor training program available. This three-day program is focused on all the relevant labor, human rights, health & safety, environmental and government regulations issues.” This training program, applicable for the textile and apparel sector, and all other labor-intensive consumer products manufacturing and service companies seeking certification under either the WRAP or Universal Code of Ethical Conduct (UCEC) designations, is available for internal auditors of retail and service companies as well as manufacturing firms.
