Candace S. Cummings is Vice President-Administration, General Counsel and Secretary of VF Corporation, the world's largest apparel company with $5.6 billion in sales in 1999.
VF is a leader in jeanswear, intimate apparel, workwear, knitwear, playwear, daypacks and swimwear. Its principal registered trademarks include Lee, Wrangler, Riders, Rustler, Chic, Vanity Fair, Vassarette, Bestform, Lily of France, Lee Sport, Healthtex, Jantzen, JanSport, Eastpak, The North Face and Red Kap. Mrs. Cummings joined VF in 1995. Previously, she was a senior partner at the international law firm of Dechert Price & Rhoads headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where her principal areas of concentration were corporate and securities law. Mrs. Cummings holds a B.A. degree from Middlebury College and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Bar Association.
Since joining VF, Mrs. Cummings has been instrumental in the development of VF's program of factory compliance, including its contractor terms of engagement.
