It’s been a busy year for WRAP’s Bangladesh office already. The Bangladeshi staff is hosting a series of courses, including fire safety trainings and three-day auditor courses, throughout the month. Country Manager Saifullah Khawaja will step away from teaching these courses briefly on January 14, when he will speak at the Fabric Apparel Clothing Technology Summit (FACTS).

Khawaja’s speech is part of the Knowledge Seminar Series III, held in partnership with Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the German development agency. The summit is part of the 11th Annual GARMENTECH Bangladesh, which runs January 12-15 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka.

Khawaja will speak on WRAP’s 12 Principles and detail the ins-and-outs of the certification process. Discussing his role in the seminar series, he said, “ I am thrilled we were afforded the opportunity to speak at this occasion as this seminar will be attended by brands, buyers, factory owners and other industry regulars. We will be able to demonstrate WRAP’s presence to facility owners and brands, creating an opportunity for expanding networks and relationships.”
