Beijing, China, June 21, 2010 - China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products (CFNA) will host the 1st China International Feather & Down Festival in LiuAn City, Anhui Province on September 16th & 17th, 2010. The Festival is aimed to build a platform for future cooperation between China and the international feather & dawn industry to advance the industry’s sustainable development. In order to accomplish this goal, the Festival has included a series of spectacular activities on this important event. The agendas are:

- The 1st China Quality Feather and Down Products Auction will be launched during the Festival. Serving as a new platform for both domestic and overseas companies, the auction will provide the best quality feather and down products for international buyers.

- Together with the Italy-China Economic Relations and Trade Association, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, CFNA will launch the 1st “Spectacular China Cup - China Feather and Down Fashion Design Contest”. The contest will have international fashion elements and integrate with the world market. Several fashion institutes will participate at this Festival to provide with a brand new perspective to the event.

- The Festival also features the China International Feather & Down Forum. Main topics at the Forum will include the state of international feather and down production, the industry’s development, and trends and features of the global market in the post economic crisis era. Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) will also give a feature speech at this forum.

CFNA is pleased to announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with WRAP on June 7th, 2010. WRAP is the world’s leading facility certification for labor and environmental issues, and has the greatest acceptance of buyers from the US, Australia and Europe in the apparel, sewn products and home furnishing sectors. CFNA is the leading Chamber of Commerce representing the feather and down industry in China. 

CFNA is proud to organize this forum of feather and down manufacturers, suppliers and exporters (feathers and down from goose and duck) who are committed to the field of social responsibility.

由中国食品土畜进出口商会、安徽省商务厅、安徽省六安市人民政府联合主办中国国际羽绒节将于2010年9月16日-17日在安徽省六安市举行。商务部驻上海特派员办事处、四川省商务厅协办，中国食品土畜进出口商会羽毛羽绒制品分会、安徽省六安市商务局承办。

本届羽绒节旨在搭建一个中国与国际羽绒界合作的平台，促进国际羽绒界和中国羽绒产业的健康可持续发展。为此，羽绒节安排了丰富精彩的主题活动：

―― 首届中国精品羽绒拍卖会将同期启动。拍卖会为国际买家提供了最优质的精品羽绒，成为国内外企业热心参与的新平台。

―― 意大利中国经济贸易联合会、中国纺织品进出口商会与我会共同举办的首届“华兴杯”中国羽绒制品时尚设计大赛，将吸纳国际时尚元素，接轨国际市场。同时众多高等院校的参与将给您一个全新的视角。

―― 中国国际羽绒论坛也将成为羽绒节的主要内容。后金融危机背景下国际羽绒产情和产业发展、国际市场变化趋势、特点，将成为论坛的主要议题。与我会签署了友好合作协议的国际社会责任认证组织也将在论坛上做专题讲演。

中国食品土畜进出口商会是中国主要商会之一，是中国的羽绒业的代表。2010年6月7日，中国食品土畜进出口商会和国际社会责任组织(WRAP)签署了《谅解备忘录》，宣布双方达成友好协作关系。国际社会责任组织是国际领先的劳工和环境认证机构，WRAP认证得到美国、澳大利亚和欧洲的制衣、缝纫和家居产品的广泛认可。国际社会责任组织将受邀参加本次中国国际羽绒节,并在本次论坛上发表专题演讲。
